Rachel Cutler is a results-oriented Human Resources professional with 13 years of progressively responsible positions in the media, communications and publishing, non-profit, and government contracting arenas.  Rachel’s expertise lies in recruitment, training, and retention strategy, and she teaches effective hiring and interviewing.

Currently, Rachel is a contractor with Discovery Communications, home of the Discovery Channel and Animal Planet, where she was specifically hired to build a new Education Division.  Previously, Rachel managed all HR functions at Washingtonpost.Newsweek Interactive, the publisher of washingtonpost.com.  She has also worked at Boeing, where she established the full recruitment process, including coaching all levels of management on interviewing, attracting, training, and retaining the best employees.

After many years of advising friends and colleagues, Rachel launched her own consulting practice, Resumes by Rachel.  Her services include resume writing and interview preparation, as well as writing and critiquing cover letters.  She also delivers workshops to community and student organizations, and offers recruitment services to organizations.

Rachel earned her MBA degree from Arizona State University in 1997, and is certified in Human Resources, holding a PHR and a BS from University of Maryland.

Susan D. Strayer, SPHR, is a career and organization development expert with a low tolerance for laziness and a high tolerance for the insanity of the corporate world. As the founder of University and Career Decisions, Susan works with individuals, companies and universities in career management, organization development and human resources strategy. Susan is also the author of The Right Job, Right Now: A Complete Toolkit For Finding Your Perfect Career (St. Martin's Press) which can be found on www.therightjobrightnow.com.

Susan has expertise in serving students, business professionals and executives and a proven knowledge of the business landscape and human resources trends. In addition to providing individual career coaching services, Susan has served as the Assistant Director of Career Services for Johns Hopkins University working with the university’s MBA, business and education graduate students. Through her past partnership with Next Step Partners, Susan has led group career programs and customized career management workshops working with MBA graduates from universities across the country.

Susan has also served as a Director for the Corporate Executive Board (CEB) serving in research programs focusing on corporate human resources, benefits, recruiting and training and learning. Prior to working for CEB, Susan worked in corporate human resources for Arthur Andersen LLP, where she served in several recruiting, training and staffing functions.

Susan holds an MA in Human Resource Development from The George Washington University, and a BA in Communication from Virginia Tech. She is currently pursuing an MBA (expected 2007) from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University.

She is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources, the highest designation of the human resources profession, and is a certified administrator of the Meyers-Briggs Type Indicator. She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management, and has presented at numerous conferences and events including for Kennedy Information and the MBA Career Services Council. Dan King was most recently Group Recruiting Manager at Enterprise Rent-a-car, where he oversaw the Washington DC, Northern VA, and MD recruiting initiatives. He managed a recruiting department of three managers and eleven recruiters.  Dan was named “Top Interviewing Employer” at the University of Virginia in 2003.

Before moving to the DC area, Dan managed Enterprise’s recruiting department for the Oklahoma region, where he created the college recruiting, relations, and intern programs.  As Regional Recruiting Manager, he trained management in interviewing and selection processes and chaired the workforce diversity program. Dan started his career with Enterprise as a Manager Trainee.

He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Oklahoma State University, where he successfully completed the Society for Human Resources Learning System. He was awarded the Professional in Human Resource Certification.       

Dan served as President of the Oklahoma Association of Colleges and Employers. He is a member of the National Association of Colleges and Employers, the Eastern Association of Colleges and Employers, and the National Society for Human Resource Management.

Abby Wilner is co-author of Quarterlife Crisis: the Unique Challenges of Life in Your Twenties, the first book to recognize the transition to adulthood and its accompanying issues. She has appeared on the Today Show, Oprah, MSNBC and CNN, as well as in various shows and newspaper articles.  Abby is also the webmaster of www.quarterlifecrisis.com, an online community for twentysomethings.

A series of jobs from arts management to website development eventually led to her current position in postsecondary educational research as a consultant with JBL Associates. She is also leading a nationwide effort to provide Quarterlife Crisis solutions through lectures, workshops and support groups.

Abby graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in 1997 with a Bachelors degree in Psychology and minors in Business and Music.  She served as Photo Editor for Student Life, the campus newspaper.

Kraettli Epperson is the President and CEO of The Epperson Group.  Kraettli directs the Epperson Group's investment strategy and consulting services, providing early stage start-up companies with seed capital and mentoring to help them develop innovative technologies, reach crucial milestones, and manage growth.  A dedicated entrepreneur and angel investor, he has been working with technology-based start-up companies since 1994.

Kraettli serves as the Chairman of R7 Solutions, Amphicles, and HyperAlert and on the board of MDS. Prior to his work with The Epperson Group, Kraettli was the co-founder and CTO of Questia Media, founder and CEO of ManorNet, Ltd., and Product Manager of Internet Hosting Services for Interliant.

He also teaches Entrepreneurial Leadership in the New Economy, one of the anchor courses in Rice University's selective undergraduate leadership program. He judged at Rice's 2002 Southwest Business Plan Contest.

He earned a BA, cum laude and with Honors, from Rice University.
